University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, is a state-owned public university that is situated in the Omuma Oru East Local Government of Imo State. The institution joins the list of state-owned universities in the state.

The University of Innovation, Science and Technology Omuma was established based on Law No. 6 of the State House of Assembly of Imo State, and this law was signed by the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who, in recent times through the SkillUp Imo State Initiative, has been able to empower over 50,000 youths across the state.

The University of Innovation, Science and Technology Omuma was presented with a certificate of existence and granted approval on the 25th of October 2025, making the university the 70th state-owned university in Nigeria and the 4th state university in Imo State after IMSU, KOMU and UAES.
